About Brad

My name is Brad, and I am a big fan of water. Not only do I drink it as my principal beverage, but I scuba dive and swim in it. Plus, my birth sign is Cancer, forming another reason for my affinity to water. But I never viewed myself as a swimming pool owner until my wife and kids pressured me into building one in 2011.

I launched Copper Pools in the summer of 2024 because I want to do something good in my community. That good . . . get chlorine out of our swimming pools. According to Health.com, there are five side effects of long-term exposure to Chlorine. Most of us believe we don’t swim enough to worry about these, but why swim in this type of water when a perfectly viable alternative exists? Copper Ionization and Oxidization are proven water sanitation mediums, and I desire to install it in as many pools as possible in the USA, but Austin, Texas in particular.

As a husband, father, and pet devotee, I want a healthy environment for my family, which is why I built my pool with Copper and Oxygen from the beginning. You can read more about my pool journey at this link.

As for earning a living, I worked in the Semiconductor and Information Technology industries for most of my career, which taught me business operations that I’m bringing to Copper Pools. I’m also a U.S. Army veteran, which taught me discipline and selfless service.
